As I already told Ricki, I'll be doing a recap of a week ... + 2 little days! Because it all started with something pretty big on Thursday July 12 ...
So here it is, my 1st (because I hope they'll be more to come!) Weekly wrap-up!
1) On Thursday morning (July 12) at work, we learned that all the people working in our Canada design dpt (that includes me!) would be losing their job since the company decided to relocate all the design to Amsterdam where Mexx International head office is located ... let's just say that it was a pretty shocking news, it's never cool to learn that you are losing your job ... but you know what they say ...
Everything happens for a reason, so I decided to stay positive and evaluate the different options. I have to say though, lucky us, we still have our jobs until December 31st, so I'll have time to figure out exactly what I want to do by then!
2) So now that I've shared my bad news with you guys, moving on to positives ... :)
The weather has been simply amazing this week! We've tried to enjoy as much time outside as possible...and this gives me a great opportunity to enjoy one of my many hobbies! I totally love taking Summery pictures as these one:

3) This week was also a pretty good one on Etsy! I made 3 sales in a few days and got quite a few features in some pretty cute Treasuries, like this one:

I'm glad thing seems to be picking up for my
Cutiful shop , especially with the news regarding my job loss. In the next few months, I really want to put as much time & effort in my shop as possible ( I know it will be quite a challenge since I'm still working full time ... but I'll figure it out!)
4) Etsy is not only a place to sell & buy handmade items! It's also a great community! In the last few months, I've tried to be more active in the Etsy community and I've got to meet so pretty nice people!(including Ricki! If I haven't meet her through Etsy, I probably wouldn't be writing this post!) Relationships are priceless, these are so important in life in general! A few weeks ago, I came across Josée, an Etsy seller living a few blocks away! This week, she invited me over and we ended up having a fun night, chatting until almost midnight!!! Go take a look at
her shop, she makes some cute upcycled hand bags and much more!
5) This week, my
quiet book (one of my favorite items in the shop, and most probably the one I'm most proud of!) as been selected by
Coolmompicks.com and featured in a cute article! It was a real honor, I couldn't be more proud! I've been featured here & there in some cute blogs in the past, but I have to admit that this feature brought A LOT of traffic to my Etsy shop!
6) Finally, last but not least, our family Summer vacations are officially started!!!! Yay!!! Keep you eyes peeled, I'm planning to work on some news listings for my shop, and also hoping to take some great pictures to capture some long-lasting memories!!!
