Birthday moodboard

In about a week, Livia will be turning 2!
Can't believe it!

I'm usually not a last minute person...but we've been sooooo busy lately, I haven't had time to start preparing for her birthday really! So this morning, while she was sleeping in the bed besides me (rough night...again!) I've decided to put together a little moodboard for her birthday.
This might help me visualize what I want, and make a list of what can be done in a week...and what supplies I need to buy!

This year, her birthday's theme will be "Pink Lemonade"!
Found so many pretty ideas on Pinterest, I really had to narrow it down!

Here's my inspiration moodboard...

Balloons via Inside out
Raspberry Lemonade cupcakes via Cait's plate
Centerpieces via Tumblr
Pinwheels via Etsy

Lately, I've been addicted to lemonade and I've tried this awesome recipe! Love it! Nothing beats freshly squeezed lemonade! Guess I'll also have to find a cool pink lemonade recipe, a pitcher of each would look great on the table!...I've seen it made with grapefruit or even with strawberries or raspberries...what do you think would be best?

Talk to you soon!

30 days left...

30 days left before Christmas, that's right!

Yesterday, we went shopping for some outdoor Christmas decorations & I have to admit, I'm slowly starting to feel the Christmas spirit! :)

Our pretty front door!
It's a first for us, we've never had outdoor decorations before...in fact, last year, we had our very 1st Christmas tree...I guess that's because we felt that, now that we have a little one, we have to start building our own Christmas traditions & memories!

I've also discussed Livia's gift with my boyfriend & we decided to get her this cute mini-kitchen from Ikea.

Actually, I have TONS of pins on my Pinterest boards for the cutest DIY mini-kitchens...but who am I kidding...I'll simply never have time to create one before Christmas...we are simply too busy around here!
This one from  The Farmer's Nest blog is made out of old nightstands

This one from  MC Baby Bump 3 blog is made out of an old TV unit
And here's another converted TV unit from Fresh Cut Flours blog

I even got my boyfriend's approval to rearrange our living room to allow some space for:
A) a Christmas tree (last year, Livia was so little, she didn't have as much toys & stuff scattered around our living room so it was easier to squeeze in a Christmas tree...but now, the living room was feeling so cramped, I really don't know where we would have put a tree if we hadn't rearrange our living space!)
B) Livia's future mini-kitchen (because as you know, we still have an unfinished basement, which you've probably hear me complain about here & there on the blog....but hey, that's another story!)

Soooo, I was so excited about the mini-kitchen, I started browsing the web for the cutest play food...because no mini-kitchen is complete without play food! Thought I could share my amazing finds with you because there are so many! Here we go:

Felt pasta! What a cute idea, I'll definitely need to make some. via A Happy Nest blog (she also has other felt food tutorials such as this felt cookie set )
Strawberry milk from The Felted Pear via Etsy
This sushi set is probably one of my absolute fave! from Creation by M via Etsy

The perfect set for tea time! You'll find the tutorial on Lil Blue Boo blog
Gotta love this popcorn set from Fairview Pl via Etsy
And what about these gorgeous donuts from The Felt Chef via Etsy?
We all scream for ice cream...especially when it's from Eva Lauryn via Etsy!
Enough with the treats...Fruits & Vegetables are important for an healthy diet!;) These yummy veggies are also from Eva Lauryn via Etsy

Ad if you're feeling crafty but don't know where to start, you can always buy affordable PDF pattern & instructions for set like this one from Fairy Fox via Etsy
This list could really go on forever...but I've got to get going! ;)
Hoping it gave you cool ideas for Christmas gifts!

Have a good one guys!
Take care!

It's HALLOWEEEEEEEEENNN!!!!

I TOTALLY had to share this with you because I was simply too freakin' excited about it!
A few months ago (while I was still on mat leave and pinning away like crazy on ...you guessed it...Pinterest!) I came across this amazing peacock costume and totally fell in love!
Cutest peacock ever!!!!
I decided that it totally had to be my lil' pumpkin 1st real Halloween costume (because last year, she was about 6 months & I had put together this very last minute "mermaid" costume...so it doesn't really count as her 1st REAL costume! Haha!)

So last weekend, I bought all the supplies I needed (basically tulle, felt, elastic...that's about it!), created my little pattern for the peacock feather pieces and started sewing away! Here's a sneak peek of the work in progress...
Lots of feathers!
A cute little mask...will she keep it on? That's another story! ;)
Try on her tutu...it's coming along great!
I ended up with enough fabric to also do an adult version for myself! Call me Mama Peacock! ;)
Stay tuned for more pictures...if I'm able to snap some of the little one in her outfit! :)

Happy Halloween!!!!! :)

There's an app for that!

I know what you think...
YES, I have just arrived in 2012! NO, up until about 2 weeks ago, I had never owned an Iphone!
But now that I do, damn, I'm sooooooooooo in love with it! :)

Of course, one of the biggest advantage is being able to take my emails & Etsy convos ANYWHERE! Ha! Freedom, I love you so much! I also started downloading some apps (only free ones so far, I feel that an app should be REALLY amazing for me to pay for it at this stage because
I'm still new to all of this!) and really understood what the saying "There's an app for that" truly meant! There really is an app for almost anything you could think of, which is absolutely crazy!

So I've installed some basic apps like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (I've just discovered the joy of Instagram & I love it!), Pinterest (for the addict that I am!), Blogger (which isn't very complete in my opinion, but I guess I should maybe take a deeper look into it) and of course Etsy (which comes very handy everyday!)

I'm also loving the utilitary apps for grocery list & to-do list (Yay! No more little pieces of paper scattered here & there around the house! Everything is in one place, much easier to manage! Don't you think?)

I've also came across this app called Peppermint, which turned out very handy when creating a color card for my new project...you know, the one I talked about a few weeks ago...
I've been so busy creating templates for my new Etsy shop that I haven't even told you yet! Yes, you read correctly, I've just opened my 2nd Etsy shop offering printables a few days ago! So exciting, can wait to see what the response will be like!

The range of apps offered is so huge, I don't even know where to look or what to look for...it's simply too much information! But I thought that maybe some of you have some apps they simply can't live without and would be willing to share those precious apps with us?!?!
Feel free to drop me a line, I'm sure it will be very interesting to discover your favorites! :)

Good night guys!
