Endless possibilities...

I've been meaning to write on my blog for a few days...but I just haven't found the time to do it!
How many hours are there in a day? Not enough I say....Would sometime need a "life remote control" to press the pause button & take a deep breath (keep dreaming girl!)

Juggling with my full time job, my family life & the long commute hasn't been easy this past few weeks... but that's what reality is made of!

Today, the weather was so bad, I needed to lighten up my day!
A little idea started blooming in my head...did you ever hear about Spoonflower ? It's an incredible website where you can print custom fabric on-demand! Yeah, you heard me right! How cool is that!!!
Just when I was looking for some cute little fabrics but couldn't find anything that really took my breath away, I realized that, if I take some time to work on this little project (time...was is it? never heard of it?) I could develop my very own custom aop! I'm so excited just to think about the endless possibilities!!!

Not only can you create your own custom print, thousands of already existing prints are also available on this marvelous website! And on top of that, once you've chosen your print, you get to pick a fabric quality out of the 8 qualities available! Need I say more? Any fabricaholic would go crazy!

I'd really really like to give it a go! How awesome would it be to create items using my very own custom fabric! It's almost too good to be true!

Can't live without music...can you?

I absolutely love music! Not only do I love it, but it's one of the thing I absolutely NEED in my life! I don't know about you, but lately, I've noticed that the music I'm listening usually reflects the way I'm feeling...

For example, when I'm stuck in traffic and I'm getting frustrated, my music choices tend to be a bit more hardcore! Haha! No but seriously, I realized that I can listen to the same song a few days in a row, but the lyrics will have a different meaning each time, depending on how I feel this very day!

7 things you don't know about me!

This morning, in my inbox, I had a message from Ricki ( Adventures with Rogue Baby ) saying that she had nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award! Thank so much Ricki!!! You've put a smile on my face this morning! The concept is pretty cool, it's a nice way to discover & meet other bloggers... and share some love!

Here's how it works...when you get nominated for VBA , you have to share 7 facts about yourself that people may not know...I'll take this opportunity as a way to properly introduce myself to you guys! So let's get started!

#1. I'm 25 years old, I live in Saint-Amable in Quebec, Canada ( for those of you who have no clue where that is, it's in the suburban area of Montreal...you guys should know Montreal, right?!?!)

#2. This Fall, my boyfriend & I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary!!! Crazy, right? And if you do the math, I know what you all think...OMG, she was only 15 years old when they started going out!!! Yup! And here we are now, living in our own house with our 1 year old baby girl Livia, our dog Zorah and our rabbit Gaïa!!!

#3. I'm working at Mexx Canada. I'm a technical designer in the Youth dpt. I studied fashion design in Montreal and graduated 6 years ago.

#4. I have no brothers or sisters...I think it might have something to do with the fact that I want at least 2 kids...maybe 3...we'll see!

#5. I have 3 tattoos...and would maybe want more (My boyfriend wouldn't like to hear that though!) I've had them for quite a looooooooooonnnnnnnnnnggg time...If I remember correctly, I think I got the first one at 15!

#6. I totally LOOOOOVVVVE quilting...I just don't have enough time to work on all the projects I have in mind! (Ok, this is not a total secret, those of you who are following me on Pinterest  or have at least seen some of my pin boards are aware of this little obsession of mine! But since I haven't really talked about quilting on my blog yet, I thought it could be nice to share this with you!)

#7. And last but not least...I'm secretly dreaming of becoming a "momtrepreneur"! A girl can have dreams, right?!?!...God it would be nice!

Baby's 1st birthday!

How was your weekend?
I truly hope all you mommies out there had a great time with your family on Mother's Day!

My 1st real Mother's day (because last year, I was about 37 weeks pregnant!) was kinda special! My baby girl turned one on Friday, but we celebrated with our friends & family yesterday! I think it's fair to say that it was a success! You all know that I've been planning this for a while, working on my party decorations highly inspired by Pinterest finds! I've worked so hard to make every single decorations & details with my 2 little hands, I just had to share some pictures with you guys!

What a week!!!

TGIF!
This first week at work was one busy week!
I just realized that it flew by and that I have not work on my crafts once!!! I know I'll get used to the new routine and find a balance...but I actually found out that not only do I love crafting...but I need crafting in my daily life! I've really missed it this week...but I was just too tired! Hopefully I'll be able to create some new items soon!

On top of that, I was planning baby's birthday! You should see my "TO DO list" for tomorrow!!! (I think by now, you must all have noticed that I'm the kind of girl who can't live without her to do list! Haha!) Anyway, the weekend will probably end up being as busy as the week that just ended...but how much fun will it be! I can't wait to put all the decorations up...and share some pics with you guys!

Before going to sleep, I just wanted to share something...do you guys know what I found in the mailbox when I came back from work! Yeah! You guessed right! My MOO mini cards are finally here!!! Joy!!!

Aren't they cute or what? So pleased with the result! What a great way to end up the day...and the week! Can't wait for the next Etsy order to hand out some!

Nobody said it was easy...

Yesterday was my first day of work...and it was a big day!
Maybe I thought I was prepared but I wasn't enough??? Anyway!

One of the thing I found the most difficult is realizing that I had left home at 6:30am to go drop my baby girl at day care...and that I came back home at 6:30pm!!! O_o
It's really weird to get to see my lil' pumpkin only about 2-3 hours in a day...Guess I'll get use to it...One thing's fore sure though, I think I'll enjoy my weekend with my little family more than ever!

Talking about weekend, we have a big one coming up! Baby will be turning one on Friday (I may sound like a broken record but I still can't believe it!!! Time goes by so freakin' fast!) so Saturday, we've got lots of cooking, prepping, cleaning & decorating to do (along with the laundry, the dishes & everything else!) It's gonna be a big week but at least, we will have a great time on Sunday! Can't wait to share some pictures with you guys!...I also can't wait to eat some cupcakes!

Gotta go wake the little one...then I'm off to work!

Waiting by the mailbox!

A few days ago, I received an e-mail saying that my MOO Mini cards have just been shipped!
I'm so excited, can't wait to get them! It's a good thing I'm going back to work on Monday, otherwise I think I might have spent my days wandering around the neighborhood mailbox! Just kidding!

For those of you who wonder what the heck are these cards, let me explain!

Not so long ago, I came across a thread on Etsy talking about this crazy promotion...MOO, in collaboration with Etsy, was offering 100 free Mini cards customized with the pictures of your choice to all Etsy shop owners! You only had to pay for the shipping!!! What a deal!!!
