Today, I thought I would share with you one of my new crafting obsession...cross stitching!!!
It all started about 2 months ago , thanks to Kimberly from Chez Sucre Chez. I was wandering on Etsy when I discovered her great shop & amazing products...and when I noticed that she was also selling diy cross stitch kit (all the material you need + a pattern to follow) I decided to give it a try... so I ordered this cute kit and that was it...I was hooked!
After that, I decided to start creating some cross stitch pattern of my own...My first original piece was this baby keepsake for one of my friend...thought it would be a cool birth gift & a great addition to her baby's nursery...
Then, I did this keepsake for my own daughter...really love the way it turned out!!! I'm really thinking about adding this type of customized baby keepsake to my Etsy shop...stay tuned!

The "5 weeks challenge"...or something like that!
Today was baby's first day (half day should I say) at day care! And it went so well, way better than I had thought it would... I guess us parents tend to worry a bit too much...sometimes!
Am I the only one thinking "I hope she won't cry too much", "I hope she won't be too difficult", "I hope she'll sleep well, without causing any trouble"....I hope, I hope....
Now that we broke the ice & that the "stress" of the first time is over with, I just realized how much things I could get done with a little free time... Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOOOOOOVE my daughter and love spending time with her... But with a few hours to myself, the possibilities seem endless! Should I be feeling guilty? I don't think so... It seems to me that as mothers, guilt is always near...but we shouldn't be feeling like that, should we?
5 1/2 weeks before getting back to work...the countdown has really begun!
But since the little one will be going part-time to day care, I figure out that I should use this "ME, MYSELF & I" time to work on my crafts!!! Work on some listings for my Etsy shop, that's for sure! But also so many other projects that I had put aside because I just didn't have time...The list is quite long though! I'd like to call this the "5 weeks challenge", but I'm just afraid that I'll get disappointed if I don't get through the list! You know what I mean!
Stay tuned for updates...
I might craft like crazy...or maybe I'll just fall asleep on the couch (hope not!!!)
Who knows!
Have a good evening everyone!

Dreaming of a real craft room...
- Down stairs, in the UNFINISHED basement, I have my 2 industrial sewing machines (overlock & fur) along with my fabric stash (which clearly needs to get organized, fast!)
- On the first floor, in the dining room, you can find my ironing board, and my dining table hidden under piles of felt, fabric, some embroidery floss and lots of other sewing supplies (ruler, measuring tape, buttons in all size & colors, needles & pincushions...name it, I'm sure I can find it in here!) And my camera & computer, to be able to add my listings on Etsy...and now work on my blog! Hopefully this set up will be history in a few weeks, once I'll get back to work...our table might recover it's original purpose...like being used as a DINING table!!! But for my defense, I have to explain that I've invaded the kitchen to be able to work on my craft while keeping and eye on the little one!
- Finally, on the second floor, in the spare room next to my daughter's room, I had installed my plain sewing machine (basically because there was not enough space left on my dining table!)...and I have to admit that the floor is covered with fabric scraps...My bad!
A few days ago, while the little one was taking a nap, I found myself wandering on the Internet, looking for inspiration for the craft room I'll one day have! What?!?!...you can't stop a girl from dreaming a little! Here are some of the pictures that really caught my eye! Enjoy!
Wine rack as yarn storage!!! That's so ingenious!! Idea from Prudent Baby |
Ikea shelves + chalkboard paint = I LOVE this! Idea from The Smith Nest |
Sarah Richardson, I love you! So many great ideas in there! |
Pegboard really is a must for organization! Idea from Apartment Therapy |
Euhhh...WOW!!! I'm almost jealous...if only my fabric stash could look like this! You can buy these fabric organizers here |
Have a nice day everyone!

Everybody's sleeping...except me!!!
2 posts in one day...God I think I'm too excited!!!
Baby's sleeping...Daddy's sleeping....Even the dog & the bunny are asleep...
It's so quiet in here...maybe it's this unusual silence that's keeping me awake!...or the caffeine!!!
I've indulged myself with a good cappuccino this evening, but my body might have forgotten how to deal with caffeine after the pregnancy and nursing...
Anyhow, before going to bed, I just wanted to let you know that I've just added some headbands to my Etsy listings. Here's a sneak peek! (Might be my favorite, I just looooooooooove polkadot!)
Wish you all a good night!

Who would have thought!...
Here I am, sitting in front of my computer, talking to you people...who would have thought I would one day upgrade my blog lover/ follower status and decide to become a blogger myself?!?! At least, up until recently, I would have never thought...
I graduated in 2006 and since then, I never stop creating & crafting... at one point, I was into jewelry, then I learned to knit (thanks to my good friend Joe from the blog My best me)...I've also developed a real passion for home decoration...and not so long ago photography.
It might sounds a bit cheesy but till this day, out of all my creations, the greatest one, the one I'm most proud of is clearly my daughter! She was born in May 2011 and since then, I'm really into baby accessories & toys...go figure out why! After all, our little world now revolves around her, it think it's only normal that most of my inspiration comes from her also!
After creating some unique soft toys and cute accessories for me little one and getting tons of comments about it, I decided to open my own Etsy shop about a month ago.
The blog idea then started to bloom in my head...I see this blog as a way to communicate with you guys, to give you behind the scenes details, or sneak peek of what I'm working on... Call me crazy but it feels kinda good to share with you guys, even tough I might not even know most of you! (I truly believe my need for communication might have something to do with the fact that I've been a stay at home mom for the last...hum...11 months or so!!!)
Anyway, I hope what you'll read & see on this blog will keep you interested!
Let the sharing begins!
Let's start from the start...
Creativity has always been like fuel for me! As far as I can remember! When I was young, I started with dancing, drawing, painting...then I discovered a real interest for fashion nd sewing...if I remember correctly, I was about 12 years old when I got my very first sewing machine. It was a real revelation for me, so I decided to study fashion design!I graduated in 2006 and since then, I never stop creating & crafting... at one point, I was into jewelry, then I learned to knit (thanks to my good friend Joe from the blog My best me)...I've also developed a real passion for home decoration...and not so long ago photography.
